CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

BRITISH CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS 2012/2013

Applications are invited for Chevening Scholarships funded by the United Kingdom (UK) Foreign and Commonwealth Office for the academic year 2012/2013.

The scholarships are for full-time postgraduate study at a UK university including academic fees, living costs and travel to and from the UK. Priority will be given to one-year study programmes in law, economics, international relations, EU integration, media studies and environment/climate change, but high academic achievers in other subjects may also be considered.

Candidates must:

  • be Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens with a first degree at the time of applying,
  • have relevant work experience in their chosen area of study,
  • have the potential to be leaders in their field, and be committed to playing their part in the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
  • Have excellent written and spoken English. Most UK Higher Education Institutions require a minimum IELTS of 6.5 for admission onto postgraduate courses,
  • be available for interview in Sarajevo during the first half of March 2012.
Only short-listed candidates who clearly demonstrate the above requirements on their Chevening Application Form can be shortlisted for an interview. The panel may also take into account efforts to research relevant courses in the UK when assessing applications.
